woodsman2230
I have never shed hunted before but I want to get into it. What is the best way to hunt for them and when is the best time? Thanks. Chris
Guest tarbaby
Re: Hunting for Sheds Some people are starting to find sheds now, but most consider the best time to be late february into march. As for the best way depends on the places your looking. We like to focus on where deer spend most of their time this time of year. Bedding areas, and feeding fields. Me and a buddy will get about 30yds apart using a satellite photo to help guide us, we will walk back and forth untill we cover all the areas that we believe their will be sheds. You need to walk very slow and look over the land carefully. Sheds can be very tricky to pick out in some places. Hope this helps. Good luck
