Ultimate Job

The ultimate job just has to be Meteorology. Where else can you be correct only half of the time and still collect a rather respectable pay check? A couple weeks ago they said rain for us here in the desert. We got 3" of snow. Friday through Saturday morning they called for 10-20" of snow at the pass and 6-8" in town. The pass got a dusting. We had rain. The only time the weather person is close is when they are recapping the weather from that day on the nightly news. crazy.gif

Re: Ultimate Job

Exactley, the storm that has been pounding the mid west has now moved into west virginia and PA, they said an inch maybe a little more....well 5 inches later and still falling and now warnings until tommrow 6am. I could tell with the storm that we were gonna get a good bit of snow.

heck they they can be wrong 99% of the time and still get that paycheck, they always got that 1% to fall back on, but one meterologist i respect is Tom Skilling no matter where i hear the weather from, fox, weather channel, skilling always seems to hit it pretty close on the nose

Re: Ultimate Job

Ok, I have the answer. We can start a RT weather channel. LOL we'll just have Members starting in washington and california notifying Montana and wyoming what's coming. They can notiy the mid west, you can let us in the east know what and when.

*I'm betting we get more accurate readings then the weather channel.

Re: Ultimate Job

Even when they get it right they don't get credit for an accurate prediction.

Ultimate job? Thankless is more like it frown.gif You better really like weather in that line of work. You're gonna get sent to the most likely hurricane strike areas. Blamed for not predicting a tornado that levels someones house. Or blamed for not sensing the coming of the next flood.
