wtnhunt
Re: How long will home processed deer meat stay good Depends on how you put it up. In food saver bags, it will last longer than in standard ziploc freezer bags or freezer paper. Have had venison in foodsaver bags put up for over a year that was perfectly fine. RangerClay
Re: How long will home processed deer meat stay good Just freezer paper - 1 year Food storage bags then wrapped in freezer paper - 3 years. Food Saver bags - I have seen 5 years.

LifeNRA
Re: How long will home processed deer meat stay good According to my FoodSaver manual 2-3 years if kept at below zero, in their vacuum bags. 6 months to a year in a regular zip-loc freezer bag. Air kills any meat!
boonencricket
Re: How long will home processed deer meat stay good I dont usually keep mine over a year. I went from freezer paper to the food saver this year, alot faster.
Dogg6
Re: How long will home processed deer meat stay good We always use a double wrap of freezer paper and it has lasted as long as 3 years. Normally we run out by the time the next hunting season comes around. With the double freezer wrap we have never had any freezer burn either.
