Guest outdoorgirl
I need to start hunting some snowshoe rabbits out back of our property. You wouldn't believe all the tracks i seen here are a few pics..... I seen a lot of runways and rabbit pellets all over so it looks like i need to get out and shoot a few snowshoes

nutz4bucks
Re: Snowshoe Rabbits That third pic looks like a perfect spot to set up a snare nothing better than seeing one caught up
Tominator
Re: Snowshoe Rabbits ODNR is trying to get the snowshoe back into Ohio. I've never seen one. I think the yotes are putting the hurt to the ones in my field. Went out there yesterday, and only saw 3.

Buckslayer
Re: Snowshoe Rabbits I've only seen one, hit dead on the road. I'd love to shoot one and get it mounted. If I ever go up north after some snowshoes, I might have a chance as northern PA supposedly has more than central.

M00N
Re: Snowshoe Rabbits I hunt in NW PA and have only ever seen one snowshoe hare ever and I didn't get to see it but for a split second before it went into the underbrush and hid. The hawks, coyote, and fox do a number on them up where I hunt. I never tried to hunt them. Good luck! Hope you get yourself some lucky rabbits feet. too_pointer
Re: Snowshoe Rabbits I have hunted them for years since I was old enough to carry a shotgun. My uncle always had beagles to run them with. I think they are very tasty They are only white during the winter months. They are way down around our area the last few years. too_
