From what I have heard about the rifleman, I would stay away from that scope.

Have heard that model bushnell is a good scope, but have not used the 3200. Have a cheaper bushnell on my ml and it has been dropped and been used, and it has held up pretty well.

I don't understand why everyone says stay away from the Rifleman. I have one on my Winchester model 70 30-06, and so far it has been a good, dependable scope. According to Leupold, the Rifleman is basically the same scope as the VX-I, It just has one fewer lense coatings. Since they are the same price though, I would go with the VX-I and get the extra lense coating. As far as the Bushnell scope goes, it is probably in the same league as the Rifleman/VX-I.

I personally love Leupold scopes. I, however, am a VX-II or VX-III fan, not too impressed on the Rifleman/VX-I scopes from Leupold only because I'm spoiled with the VX-II/VX-III scopes already. But, if I was picking from only the two you listed the Leupold Rifleman hands down would win. I have had the Bushnell Elite on one of our rifles and it didn't impress me.
