If you go to yahoo and type in the type of resume you are looking to do, such as a professional resume or something along those lines, there are a lot of websites that help you outline the type of document you would like to put together. When you write up a cover letter, be careful not too repeat your resume in your coverletter. the coverletter basically introduces yourself and why you want to work for whomever. your resume should list your job experiences, from most current to past, then list related coursework, experiences relating to the jov you want, etc....
