RTF
If you get a nice old big gobbler this season, or perhaps your young youth hunter gets one, will you have it mounted and if so, what position will you have it done in ? Whats the most you would pay for a turkey mount ?
M00N
Re: Who\'s getting a turkey mount this spring seaso If I get a bird, but it isn't a monster, then I'd be getting a wing, tail, beard mount kit done on it with a slight modification to include spurs. [LINK] If I get a bird, and it's a monster, then a flying full body mount would be my choice. My cousin has one done and it's very beautiful. SE_KSBowhunter
Re: Who\'s getting a turkey mount this spring season ? I just picked up one from last spring, full strut position, so I doubt that I will this year. If my wife gets one this spring, she wants to get it mounted in the flying position. The most I would pay would be 400-450, that is about the going rate around here for a good, quality job.
okiedog
Re: Who\'s getting a turkey mount this spring season ? I shot my biggest bird to date last year. I'am kicking myself for not doing a full body mount on it.

Guest BriarRidgePlots
Re: Who\'s getting a turkey mount this spring season ? If I can financially swing it I am gonna try and get one mounted on a branch gobbling on the roost!! I love the way they look!
Nick
Re: Who\'s getting a turkey mount this spring season ? I already have a full strut mount and have one at the taxidermist from last spring getting mounted on a roost limb gobbling. It would have to be an absolute monster to get another one with a full body mount.
wtnhunt
Re: Who\'s getting a turkey mount this spring season ? Will consider it if I get a really good one. Would like to have a strutting mount. Taxidermist who has done all my deer used to charge a little more for turkeys than deer, but he does not take anything but deer now. Not sure how much, but would think somewhere in the neighborhood of $350-400.
Guest tarbaby
Re: Who\'s getting a turkey mount this spring season ? Shot my biggest bird 2 years ago and really wish i would have done a full strut mount. 25lbs, 11 3/4" beard, 1" spurs.... the only way I will pay that much to get one mounted is if it is about that big or bigger. I would probably go with a full strut on some kind of base so could mount it up off the floor in the corner of my room. Or gobbling on the roost would be good to
