Tominator
Is there any football on this weekend? Even some lame-O senior bowl would be better than no football at all this weekend. I'm going through withdrawals already.

Guest Andrea
Re: Football Withdrawals I am going thru withdrawals too. I can't watch old games though like my husband can. And I hate basketball. Baseball is okay, but only when it's the World Series. Oh well. Wish the weather would warm up as soon as my hunting season is over so I can start bass fishing again. Great sport and Federor is without a doubt the most dominant athlete in his sport...and that includes Tiger Woods. Tennis is one of the best sports to watch on TV anyway....Wimbledon...oh man, I'm glued to the tube for that. When that tourny's on, I'll spend hours on the couch. Add a bag of chips, some icy cold brew soda's and I'm pretty much you on a Friday night.

Nice slam on John's social life, but you spelled Wimbledon wrong. DB I agree with the watching tennis thing. If you've ever played, you know what the pros are doing. Simply incredible. The only thing less exciting then tennis is soccer, and that's pretty bad. It took you that long to come up with that? John, my Pittsvillian friend, you're slipping. Anyway, I guess you have to have some knowledge of the sport to know what you're looking at. Its a lot like hockey in that respect. Of course you get hockey, so you like it...but how many Americans dog hockey only because they've never played and don't get it? Anyway, tell me, which is more exciting to watch. Basketball, a sport where only the last 2 mintues matter, and that's only when its a close game...or tennis, where its 1-on-1 and some of their volleys are just plain mind blowing?? Which is pretty much what happens until you get to the semifinals in most tournaments.

Wow Kev, you have some pretty diverse sports taste. I think just about 99% of America would agree with ya. Sorta reminds me of a joke. What do you call someone who speaks three languages? Trilingual. What do you call someone who speaks two languages? Bilingual. What do you call someone who speaks one language? American. Broaden your horizons boys, it will do you some good. c_lou
Re: Football Withdrawals I am the only one amused that we are arguing about tennis and golf, yet every single one of us watches somebody else sit in a tree and shoot animals or sit on a lake and catch fish? Not that there is any thing wrong with that, just strikes me as funny.

I'd rather watch the Food Network.
