I have a friend who has a 3 year old Thompson Center, only has been shot 3 times, it's basically been in his gun safe since he's shot it to sight it in. I told him that I was interested in getting into muzzleloading this year, and wanted to buy one. He said that he would sell me his for $250.00, and include the ammo/powder etc that he has. I'm supposed to go to his place tomorrow (Tue) to check it out. My ? is do you think this is an awesome deal as much as I do? and would ya buy it? -- Van

Re: Would ya?

Well I went and checked out the gun, and I passed on it. The gun looked as though he hadn't cleaned it very well. So I decided to spend the extra $$ and get a brand new TC Omega Camo w/thumbhole for $389 shipped, I thought this was a pretty good deal so I jumped on it, what's your guys take on that?? -- Van

Re: Would ya?

I found that gun on http://www.gunsamerica.com it was from a gun shop in Bad Axe Michigan, the only deal was if you use a credit card the guy charges you an extra 3%, so I just sent him a check. The guys name was Jerry, and very easy to deal with. There are other guns listed on there from other shops as well. Good luck! Oh I just want to point out that I am in no way associated with GA or any of their listings, I'm just your average guy looking for a deal, and I think I got a pretty good one, hopefully others will find a deal as well, so if for some reason you have a bad experience don't blame me. I would do your research before you buy from anyone on there just like you would anywhere else, everyone doesn't represent themselves honestly, and it's unfortunate. You can google the stores and find the address and phone numbers and call them directly, that's what I did. Best of luck, and I'm looking forward to getting my new Omega! -- Van
