SOME ARE SHEDDING, SOME AREN'T (PICS)

Recommended Posts

The bucks are shedding pretty early around here this year. Usually most will carry their antlers through a good part of february, and quite a few will still have horns in march (I've saw a couple with horns as late as April 10). I usually start shed hunting hard in late feb. but I might have to hit it a little early this year.

THE ONE HORN BUCK IN THIS PIC HASN'T SHED HIS OTHER HORN, ITS BROKEN OFF JUST ABOVE BASE. HARD TO TELL IN THE PICTURE BUT I HAD HIM AT 30 YARDS IN EARLY NOVEMBER AND HE HAD ALREADY BROKEN IT OFF.

NOT SURE IF THIS IS 3 BUCKS OR ONE BUCK AND TWO DOES. THE BUCK IN THE MIDDLE HAS ONE HORN. HE DOESN'T LOOK TO HAVE ANY BIGGER BODY THAN THE OTHER 2, BUT HIS NECK LOOKS BIGGER.
