fenderhunt4
Hey Friends-- My dad and I are heading to Kansas this spring for the archery turkey season. Being from Ohio, I'd like to get some advice and tips on how some of you hunt these birds in a more open terrain than we are used too. Thanks! Guest tarbaby
Re: Kansas Hunting What part of KS are you gonna be at? I hunt NE all the time.. you can find birds pretty much anywhere around here. If you go out west farther you will have to stick to riverbottoms more. That archery only week is going to be amazing since the birds wont have been called to. ME and 2 other buddies are gonna go out and video tape our hunts
SE_KSBowhunter
Re: Kansas Hunting Depends on where you will be hunting. The eastern part of the state is packed w/ turkey. It is hard NOT to find them. The best locations are near the rivers and creeks. I'm not familiar with hunting the western part of the state. Like tarbaby said, the early bow season is going to be awesome, hopefully it is a permanent change.
