Guest BriarRidgePlots
Guys I am in the beginnings of my new company. A food plot and property management service. The main problem I am running into is marketing/advertising. We need to localize obviously (S. Ohio, Ky, SW. WV etc...) and we have alot of absentee landowners around here that my service would greatly benefit, but I am at a loss as how to contact em! Alot of the landowners who live around here cannot afford such a luxury, but I know that the guys that bought hunting land down here probably have a more disposable income that they would invest in their land. Any ideas guys??? Tom
PAstringking
Re: Need Help you can always try making some calls and finding out who pays the taxes on certain peices of land...then make up a small brochure with a cover letter and send it to all the names you want. wtnhunt
Re: Need Help Never hurts to get business cards out. Farm and feed supply stores are a good place to put them out. Locally here, a farm suppy store the guy was doing some custom plots, he had a sign out by the road at his store.
BIG_COUNTRY
Re: Need Help GOOD LUCK. HERE IN MISSISSIPPI WE TAKE DIRT SAMPLES FROM EACH AREA WHERE WE ARE PLANTING AND SEND THEM OFF FOR ANALYSIS. THEY TELL US WHAT CHEMICALS/FERTILIZERS WE NEED AND HOW MUCH PER ACRE TO ACHIEVE MAXIMUM FORAGE FROM OUR FOOD PLOTS.
LETMGROW
Re: Need Help I know a lot of states have an Outdoor News paper. You might look into your target areas to see what is out there. Your local paper would only reach local people. In the case of absentee owners you might ride around some areas and take names and addresses off posted signs. Then send them a business card.
