Guest skinner2
I was curious to know if anyone here uses a double bull matrix blind ? If you do do you use it for deer also and if so how did it work out for you? I would like to get one but would be using it more for deer than turkey and concerned that they would see it and be more likely to avoid it
unioncountyslayer
Re: anyone here use a db matrix I use one exclusively for deer hunting. It works great, shot a doe out of it this year at about 40 yards, never knew I was there. Just put it up along a tree line and it blends in well. woodshed
Re: anyone here use a db matrix do you set up your blind and hunt from it the same day? Or do you have to let them get used to it for a while first?
unioncountyslayer
Re: anyone here use a db matrix I think a lot of it depends on the location. If you have a good wood line where it can blend in well, you could hunt it the same day. If it is a bit more exposed and out in the open, you may want to give it a few days so that the deer can check it out and get used to it. Bow Hunter Derek
Re: anyone here use a db matrix I have one and love it. I've had a couple BS-5 blinds and now the Matrix. All are great blinds. I always set it and hunt it the same day. After having one blind stolen, I don't leave a blind out anymore. I brush it in for deer. I don't for turkeys. One cool thing about the Matrix is with all the extra cords, they act as stubble straps, so brushing them in is easy. Only takes a couple minutes to do and the cords hold the brushing in very well. Here is a picture of mine in a youth hunt with my daughter.
