Re: Michael Waddell Left ?

I had asked Scott Hughes from RT about this earlier, heres the answer...

[ QUOTE ]

Michael has stepped out of the box as an official employee and is now contracted with us for years to come. The reason being is he can now do some things (like the GM deal) and not cause any problems for us and other retailers (or companies). He was just getting so many offers (understandably) and this affords him the freedom to do it.

And Realtree and Road Trips is part of that contract. It's really like nothing has changed. He's still in the office and Ashley (his wife) still works for us. Everything is cool.

He is no longer an official Jordan Enterprises employee or whatever. However, he is still contracted to do all the shows. It just allows him a little freedom to devote more time to some of his other sponsors, as well as realtree. He'll still be on the shows and wear the camo. I think you can look at it like Michael will still do what he did before, but he will also be doing a lot more other stuff in addition.

I'm gonna see him Friday night at a seminar. Maybe I'll ask him why he never comes on the board.

Actually, I wonder what the atmosphere of the seminar will be and if I'll even get to chat with him. I guess we'll see.

Where's the seminar and when? Seating still available?

lord i am sorry i didnt know this was a pg13 site. Here is my take on this subject. Waddel is making Jordan alot of money cause the man laids the smack down on camera every time. Can anyone tell me if they seen Waddel miss on camera? I seen one monster bucks video that he shot a 10 point buck while he was jumping a fence down in vatoville. that is skill and not easy to do.

Re: Michael Waddell Left ?

Hi guys! I was with Scott Hughes and some other Realtree folks at the shotshow. Bill, Michael and Dave all came over and signed a hat for my up coming Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation banquet. Bill and Michael are very close. Anyone around them can tell. One thing about these guys.....they are as genuine as they are on camera. Michael is a people person. He may have his mug all over the camera, but he took the time to visit with a whole lot of folks and even though he was pretty worn out, he jumped up every time anyone visited the Realtree booth. A friend of mine does some photography work for Realtree, so I bump into the Realtree folks a time or two. Being around several businesses and running a few myself, you run into all kinds of people trying to promote themselves, their products or businesses. I had visited the shotshow representing the family foam/packaging and a firearms business. I stopped in the Realtree booth and this polite young man about 12-14 came over and asked me how my hunting season went. He didn't know me from Adam and must have talked to me for 20 minutes....it was Bill Jordan's son!! Their motto is as genuine as their business. Bill made Michael and Michael has helped Bill grow. I would put good money on the fact that they will both continue to help each other grow in the future. Let’s face it, Michael is the present market Icon and needs to run with it. I believe the situation will benefit both parties....just the view of an outsider looking in.

bowana, what type of foam extrusion plant is it? I work for Pregis, formerly Pactiv Corp, I'm the foam sheet div. leadman. Do you guys make material for the BLOCK targets? We run a 1/8" 6# HD foam that makes an awesome layered target, plus 3" plank. Where are you at in Michigan? I work in Plymouth, about 45 min. south of South Bend.
