tc arms being a prt of winchnester is building a new bolt action and it should be out later this year. it will according to what i read much bettert than the model 70 and will be sub inch groups on all of the rifles they build wait and see what comes of that. for a shot gun i would suggest the bennelli nova a great shot gun if you have a 1300 located that is one of my favoirtes next to my model 12 winchester which to me is the best pump windhester ever made

Re: winchester did i miss something

TC and Win. No connection there. I still find it hard to believe the Mod. 94 is no longer in production. I have to believe this is the beginning of the end to a long time mfg. Just as new innovations in Lever action ammo come out, all the cowboy action shooting interest, and the love of traditional arms a company elects to drop a line as successful as the Mod. 94. I Really don't get it.

There is something really amiss here. Time will tell.

The Mod. 70 same story as is the 1300.

This would be like General Motors dropping Chevrolet!

Re: winchester did i miss something

Winchester had no affiliation with TC, but they did with Browning Arms. A while back I posted that the Japanese company that make Browning A-Bolts would take over production of the Winchester Model 70. Low and behold, I just read an article in one of the gun magazines that we could expect to see the Browning model 70 in the very near future. The japanese firm is indeed going to start manufacturing the Winchester Model 70 and put the Browning name on it. I just wonder if they will carry the higher price tag of the A-Bolts? Being IMPORTED from Japan they probably will.
