Tominator
Re: opion on mattews bow I think the jury's still out on the Drenalin because it's so new, but I've not heard too many complaints from XT owners. My suggestion would be to go shoot them both and see what you think.
ScottyLuck
Re: opion on mattews bow One is not better than the other. They are both top notch bows. You really need to shoot each one to see what one is better for you. You can't go wrong with either.
Adjam5
Re: opion on mattews bow Welcome to the forums... You can't go wrong with ANY Mathews bow. The Drenaline is the latest and the greatest right now while the other models are proven. Shoot as many bows as you can and then make the decision. You might even have a hankering for one of those double cam and a half whatevers as opposed to a solo cam. What fits, feels and shoots best is what you want. A good pro shop will let you shoot a bow before you buy it, so try 'em all. Don't exclude any other brands until you shoot as many as you can. Good Luck! Born2Hunt
Re: opion on mattews bow I have had 2 Mathews bows and loved them both. I will be trading my MQ1 in on a drenaline very soon. I have shot the XT and it is a great and I mean great bow but I like the feel of the drenaline better. I like the extra length of the drenalin. 33" vs. 31"
tp793
Re: opion on mattews bow I shot the mathews and didn't like how it drew, but that was just my opinion. I shot several of the top name bows and just didn't like some of them. I ended up buying a Fred Bear Element because thats what fit me and I liked the best. Its all about what you like. preacherman
Re: opion on mattews bow I have an XT and love it. Have a buddy of mine who has a legacy and he loves it. They are all good bows, just like many of the others from other companies. Like some others will say, shoot some and see what feels best to you. That is the only way you will be able to tell. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: opion on mattews bow I got to shoot the Drenalin this weekend at a huntin show and it was my first time trying it. WOW!! Its an awesome bow that is for sure, but for $790.00 it was not in my budget yet. It was equipped with a Vital Gear Kasaway rest and that rest was just as awesome. Mattews has their act together is all I can say, the bow just fits so nice in your hand and it was so smooth! Someday I will cross over to the dark side.....someday! [/ QUOTE ] I own the Outback and still love it. I have shot the new bows and couldn't tell that much difference. Don't be afraid to look for used bows such as the Outback and the Switchback. Adjam5
Re: opion on mattews bow I too have my 03 Outback and love it also. I have shot the other newer Mathews...but see NO justification to buy another bow. Well I might anyway... because my son(squirrelhunter91) has his eyes on my Outback, now that he can draw 60lbs He's just not at 29" draw yet. But ..yes, consider the older Mathews brands also. They too are REAL good bows.
EKYhunter
Re: opion on mattews bow Any Mathews you choose will be an excellent bow. I got a Q2 in 2000 and just got my new XT set up Saturday. What a difference! I'm not saying that to put down my Q2 or any of the older bows. All they will do is kill deer or whatever you want I would shoot all Mathews models your interested and then decide! For me, I just liked the XT better! Guest IAbooner
Re: opion on mattews bow XT is a great bow! Mathews makes a dependable quality product! I have owned a Z-Max, MQ-1, Legacy, LX, and now the XT! They have all been outstanding!

robinhood
Re: opion on mattews bow its simple... the drealin... 100% its smoother quieter more forgiving about a lb lighter its skinner. go out to your local dealer and shoot them both see with one fits you best ... but look into the hoyt bows. i shoot both a mathews and a hoyt.. i like them both.. MCH
Re: opion on mattews bow I shot both. Purchased the XT, though. To me, the only difference I could see was that the Drenalin was lighter. The feel was the same and the shot was similar. The XT has been tried and tested, the Drenalin is just starting out. Both are good bows, but for my money, it was the XT.
ArtV22
Re: opion on mattews bow Bought the XT myself thought the limbs looked stronger and was 100 dollars cheaper. If I would have known I would have put aftermarket strings and cabels on right away.
