LETMGROW
Re: Need scope help! I cannot believe this post has run for 5 days, 25 views and not even 1 reply! With all the Encore, Contender and other handgun hunters out there doesn't anyone have an idea? I have a TC Contender which is outfitted with a TC Recoil Proof scope, 2.5x-7x illuminated reticle. I have to think this would be a good choice for the Striker as well. Lynn

The Savage supersttryker that I bought had a Leupold on it already. If your interested, let me know and I will e-mail you some pictures. Ask around for information on the Burris. It does have a BDC systme in the recticle. $170 bucks and I will ship it for free.

JJL
Re: Need scope help! I'd get a silver one, I think it would look nice. Other than that I really cannot give you any advice. It sure would be nice to know what caliber that Savage is? What species do you plan to hunt? Is the gun just for Target shooting? How long do you expect shots to be? What type of terrain do you hunt? Are you shooting off sticks, tripod, or bipod? Do you wear glasses? How much do you wish to spend? Not knowing any of the important information doesn't allow me to give you an informative answer. But, I'd still get a silver one.
bowana
Re: Need scope help! Excuse my typing, It is a 3X12 w/Ballistic plex. Matte finish. VTbowman
Re: Need scope help! If you want long eye relief then dont go with Burris. As you increase mag you loose eye relief. For constant rock solid eye relief go with a Bushnell Elite 3200 2-6x32. No matter what mag its the same. This scope goes for around $300 to $340 depending on where you shop. Its right in par with the Burris top of the line models too. I prefer Burris since I have short arm reach. I 1st went with the Bushnell for the same reasons your looking but found that with heavy coats for late season hunting I did not need such long eye relief. I shoot only big bangers so i thought I needed it. (300 Win Mag, 209x50, 7mm Rem Mag)
