His team took the worst QB to the superbowl. Besides, its the NFC...not really that difficult to beat some of those teams, look at the teams that made the playoffs. They're below .500 if they play in the AFC.

They were very lucky to score that many points last night.

[/ QUOTE ] You take Frye and put him on the Bears, and take Grossman and put him on the Browns...what happens. My guess is Grossman is out of the NFL in a year playing behind that Oline and that nonexistent running game of the Browns. Anywan, I'd take David Carr, Losman, Harrington and Vick over Grossman in a heartbeat. You have to consider the teams John...on a good team you can almost plug any QB in there and still win...look Worthlessberger and the Steelers. buckbuster11
Re: unreal touchdown Grossman passed for more yards and more TD's then all of those guys this year with probably equal or less offensive talent around him then any of those guys I mentioned. Look, I'm not a huge Grossman fan either but he isn't the worst QB in the league.
muggs
Re: unreal touchdown Stats are for nerds John. yards...whatever else...who cares. Bottomline, the guy has a good oline in front of him, two good RB's behind him, and some good wideouts. You give a QB time and a solid running game and he's gonna do better than a guy who doesn't have that. Not to mention the Bears defense having the most takeaways thus getting the ball in his hands a lot. From a straight talent evaluation standpoint, Grossman one of the worst I've seen this year. How else can you explain everyone calling for him to be pulled when they have a record like that? That doesn't happen if the guy is good. buckbuster11
Re: unreal touchdown Thats great muggs.. Lots of teams have good o'lines...and solid running backs...including Vick's team, Losman's team, Harrington's team, and Carr's team in some respects...and all of those guys actually have big time WR's and/or tight ends to throw too unlike Grossman. Grossman doesn't have any Eric Moulds, Andre Johnsons, Chris Chambers, Lee Evans, Alge Crumplers etc... to throw too.
muggs
Re: unreal touchdown [ QUOTE ] and Carr's team in some respects [/ QUOTE ] you think the Texans have a good running game and oline? [ QUOTE ] Grossman doesn't have any Eric Moulds, Andre Johnsons, Chris Chambers, Lee Evans, Alge Crumplers etc... to throw too. [/ QUOTE ] His tight end is one of the better players at that position. Berrian is a deep threat and Mushin Muhammed is a very good WR. Grossman has enough around him to really put up some good numbers...but doesn't. Outside from that, have you ever seen a pro QB who's ball hangs like his. Wow, its terrible.
buckbuster11
Re: unreal touchdown [ QUOTE ] you think the Texans have a good running game and oline? [/ QUOTE ] The o-line isnt so hot, although it is better then it was in previous years but Dominick Davis is a pretty dang good back. Heck, he's so good they let Reggie Bush go remember? [ QUOTE ] Grossman has enough around him to really put up some good numbers...but doesn't. [/ QUOTE ] Dude, come on. You just got done telling me two posts ago stats and numbers don't mean anything. Besides that, I already told you, he has better numbers then any of the QB's we are talking about here. P.S. Berrian and Muhammad are not the caliber of receivers that Evans, Chambers, Johnson, Moulds etc.. are.
muggs
Re: unreal touchdown [ QUOTE ] Dominick Davis is a pretty dang good back. [/ QUOTE ] pretty sure he was injured for about 95% of the year. [ QUOTE ] Dude, come on. You just got done telling me two posts ago stats and numbers don't mean anything. [/ QUOTE ] I realize this...that's why with the very next line I mentioned his ball. He's the worst deep ball thrower I've ever seen. [ QUOTE ] Besides that, I already told you, he has better numbers then any of the QB's we are talking about here. [/ QUOTE ] noted...again, that's why I mentioned that his defense gets the ball to him a lot and defenses having to play the run opens things up. Put yourself in Frye's shoes. You have no time to throw and your running game is so bad that the opposition can drop their LB's into zones because their D line can stuff Droughns all day. Like I said, just judging the guy's talent (decision making, accuracy, mechanics....HANDLING SNAPS ) he's pretty bad, huh?

Do ya realy think the were going to risk injury just to take pride in pounding them one more tiime. Second if the bears didn't even start a qb they would have made it to the superbowl come on.They just got out played and out coached. The hole team is to blame missed tackles the corners giving to much cousion the coaching for not ajusting to the drop pass to the runnig back that they burnned us on to many times to count. The bears as a hole gave use one heck of a year and I can't wait to see them go after it next season. Congrats to the colts and their fans the earned it. [/ QUOTE ] You know what the absolute best part is ... the score coulda been worse ... Indy went for it on 4th down twice inside the 25 yard line ... what can you say about that? I think it is hillarious that DB says that Grossman had just 2 int's ... yet it was 2 int's with one runback and 2 fumbles both resulting in scores ... hmmmm interesting isnt it .. Ended the year on a 4 game win streak. Why try to bring down other teams because your Bears lost? See, we don't care if our team is bad. We admit it. Bears fans seem to be up in the clouds somewhere. How were they avoiding injury, not tackling aggressively? [ QUOTE ] Second if the bears didn't even start a qb they would have made it to the superbowl come on [/ QUOTE ] That very game your starting QB had a QB rating of zero and had more interceptions than completions. Yeah, that team would have gone far without a QB. I hope this Super Bowl was a wake-up call to Bears fans. Yes they were the "class" of the NFC this year, but that ain't saying a whole lot. Grossman was pulled at halftime after going 2-7 with 3 interceptions and a lost fumble. The Packers finished the year with 4 straight wins...not exactly stinking it up
