Sounds like a pretty good plan, but dont know for sure about taking a dog, that could possibly make a great moment somewhat cumbersome. RangerClay
Re: Popping the big Question! [ QUOTE ] I have reserved a table at her favourite restaurant(the one we went to first) for sat night, and if it's not too cold out I was thinking about proposing in a park in town on the waterfront(ice front) . I was also wondering about taking the dog for a walk with her and before dinner and maybe doing it then? Maybe attach the ring to the leash or something. But if it's cold out those might be out the window so keep the great ideas coming! [/ QUOTE ] Go to Google and type "Proposal ideas" this should help seal the deal. [ QUOTE ] Sounds like a pretty good plan, but dont know for sure about taking a dog, that could possibly make a great moment somewhat cumbersome. [/ QUOTE ] The only reason why I was thinking about including the dog was she(my dog) helped to get us together, and we joke that she was more attracted to my dog than me! johnf
Re: Popping the big Question! My wife and I were sitting in her bedroom watching tv. She said "So when are we getting married?", I said "How's July 1st". She said "Really?", I said "Sure" Not really romantic, but we've been together for 12 years. TBow
Re: Popping the big Question! First thing I'd make sure of, is that where ever, and however the propsal was going to be made, I'd NEVER NEVER EVER pop the question at a large event where there was other people, or where other family were present, or at a public place where other people were. Man, what a lot of pressure to put on a girl. Oh ya, it's great if she actually wants to marry you, but what if she has some doubts!!!!!!!!! That's right! Embarrasment city!!!!!!!! What if she says "NO"? Is there any chance that you'll be able to pull yourself out of the state of total rejection and depression for the next 10 years? Can you imagine how your self confidence will be shattered if it's on national television, or in front of other people? And what if she says "YES" in front of all those other people or family? Can you be sure she's not just saying "YES" because of all of the pressure that you're placing her under with all those onlooking eyes? And will you be absolutely confident that her "YES" wasw sincere, when you look back on the experience in a number of years down the road. Will you possibly doubt her 100% commitment to your relationship? Haven't you ever watched, "Everybody Loves Raymond"? That very scenario played itself out on one of the episodes! OH NO my friend! That question is between you and your lady! Let's not drag the rest of us down! If it's just mono et mono, then you'll know her answer is sincere! It'll give you greater comfort in the years to come.......or less grief! I've been married going on 37 years! And yes, to the same woman! To be quite honest, I can't even remember a time in my life when I wasn't married. How did I propose? Can't remember, but it appears to have worked. Would I ask her again......or would I let her ask me again....if that was the case? ......... I'm gon'na have to think on that one! I'll get back to ya! Just git 'er done!
