I was reading an article titled "Desoto Gobbler" in my February edition of Mississippi Game & Fish and who do I find on the 2nd page of the article....non other than a picture of huntn4bucks with the gobbler he killed in the rain last spring.

Just in case you were wondering Tracy the caption at the bottom of the picture says "Photo by Anthony Campbell"

Congrats Tracy. Did you kill that bird in Desoto National Forest?

I had no idea there was an article in Mississippi Game & Fish. The February edition of Alabama Game & Fish has an article with me in it...probably the same one but it's titled "Tough Gobblers" or something like that. The article's focus was on last season's lack of gobbling and the upcoming 2007 turkey outlook. I have no idea why the MS edition is titled "Desoto Gobbler". I killed the gobbler in Jackson County, Alabama. confused.gif

Anthony Campbell is a childhood friend of the family that writes the outdoor column for our local newspaper and also writes for the company that publishes Alabama Game & Fish and North American Whitetail. Obviously Mississippi Game & Fish too.

Will you send me a copy? I'll pay for shipping and the cost of the mag.

Thanks,

Tracy
