mitrrophybowhunter
Re: Tecomate or Whitetail Institute [ QUOTE ] Anybody got any opinions? [/ QUOTE ] Tecomate is a good seed. That being said........look at the seed content on the label and have a local store mix it up for you. It is a LOT cheaper if you ae planting a lot of acres. LETMGROW
Re: Tecomate or Whitetail Institute Sure do. They are both good as are many others. A lot is dependant on what you want to plant, in what type soil, annual, perenial, to hold deer, feed deer through the spring, summer, fall winter, etc., etc. You have to come up with a plan then find the seed or seed mix that will do what you want it to do. There are other seed companies out there which are good also. I am sure you will hear about them. Don't buy on just brand name alone. Make sure the seed is what you really want to plant. wtnhunt
Re: Tecomate or Whitetail Institute Have had good luck with tecomate lablab plus. Have never used any of the whitetail institute seeds, but have heard they are good quality seeds. If I was looking at planting clovers, I would suggest either one of hamann farms clover trefoil blends, or a mix from pennington. Think they are some of the best out there in my opinion. huntermq32
Re: Tecomate or Whitetail Institute I planted tecomte monster mix last spring and it diid very well. The area has beans and corn also and the deer especialy the bucks spent alot of time in the monster mix. This is my first plot so I don't know much about whitetail institute. AaronS
Re: Tecomate or Whitetail Institute Ask me this again in a year. I will be planting Tecomate Monster Mix alongside Whitetail Institute Chicory Plus (pretty much same mix) to see if the deer can tell the difference. [/ QUOTE ] The whole key to good results is not just the seed. The amount of preparation is key to successful results. It is a total package.
