We always try to put out a few things for the judges if they want to adjust their chili (i.e. hot sauce & sour cream). I want to may sure all of the bases are covered. PYROTECHNICS - No chili contestant may discharge firearms or use any pyrotechnics or explosives at a chili cookoff. [/ QUOTE ] I have been entering Chili Cookoffs for years..I have never seen any exploding chili...LOL But it must have happened at some time or that rule would not be in there.. Most of our cook offs are 2 1/2 days long ...So there are 2 nights that we stay in a 16' pop-up trailer...Lets just say you do get ran out a time or two...
