Turkeygirl
I haven't been able to do much with my bow since i'm still waiting on the new strings and cables...I did raise the DW to around 49 and made the Tiller about as equal as I could get it (assuming I did it right which I think I did, lol). I thought I'd ask on here what arrows I could use on my bow since I want to get some new arrows. I shoot an 06' Hoyt Rintec XL 26" DL, 49 lb DW- and my current arrows are Beman ICS 500 @ about 25 3/4" long, but I've been told by a few they are overspined for my bow? Anyway what other arrows out there would work with my bow? Not sure if I'll wait to check at the new bow shop or order them online somewhere, but I thought I'd ask here I would be using them mainly for bowhunting and maybe a little 3D shooting this year for fun. Thanks.

hutchies
Re: What arrows Turkeygirl..........You would rather be overspined than underspined. The Bemans should be fine.
Turkeygirl
Re: What arrows Ok, thanks Gator and Hutchies...I'm still in the market for some new arrows though, since I only have 6 Bemans and would like 6 more of something...maybe with Blazers. Gator
Re: What arrows If you are gonna stay with the Bemans you have, then I'd get more of those. You may run into problems between two different manufacturers of arrows, 6 may fly good, the other 6 may not fly at all. Then what??? Turkeygirl
Re: What arrows hmmm...good point Gator. Does anyone know of any online places that sell the Bemans and/or how to get Blazers put on if I went that route? Unless I got rid of the Bemans and bought a dozen of something, but the Bemans seem to work well :-)
Gator
Re: What arrows Most of the places on EBAY will cut and fletch to your likings Just looked, only a handful of Beman arrows on ebay, and they were all 1 dozen........
Turkeygirl
Re: What arrows So I may have to resort to getting a dozen either way..which wouldn't be bad I suppose...some for hunting, some for practice and 3D...
Turkeygirl
Re: What arrows Anyone else with suggestions/input? I'm kind of unsure of buying arrows from others that have been shot already...not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Bemans brand new for a dozen are not cheap! Turkeygirl
Re: What arrows Thanks VH. I did get in contact with him previously, as I was thinking some customs. He was recommending some other arrows, but I do like the Bemans, they don't wear down the prongs on my NAP rest much at all. So if possible, should I switch to Blazers? If I get 6 more arrows, with Blazers, then I suspect they'll fly a bit different than the 6 I currently have with 4" vanes...
VermontHunter
Re: What arrows Nothing wrong with Beamans at all,, heck you don't even have to have them crested,, he also doe's wraps... I shoot 4" vanes as well as Blazers.... you won't see a big flight difference with practice tips ,, but you will definately help BH flight with the Blazers.... So IMHO I would get the Blazers if you would like to try them...

Turkeygirl
Re: What arrows Ok, thanks guys. I think I'll go with Blazers and get in contact with Michigander. Are wraps a good thing to have with the Blazers? I've heard they help because the Blazers are lighterweight

robinhood
Re: What arrows try the axxis 400 or 500... nice choice should be perfect. it should give you enough spinn... to kinitic energey but your bemans are fine.. as long as you can hit your target should do well. Guest deadeye270
Re: What arrows wraps will help because the blazers will stick better to the wraps than they do to the bare shafts. wraps are cosmetic for alot of people. I use them because they show up on camera better and also allow to see the entry location a little better.
