Re: realtree hosts

You probably can find some over at ArcheryTalk.com! I use to know his screen name over there but if you do a search you should be able to find something.

I know we beat this issue like a dead horse but man it sure would be nice if Realtree's Pro Staff would visit more often especially on off seasons. Like right now, what are they up to? Extreme Ice Fishing? grin.gif

Re: realtree hosts

razor - micheals username here on the forum is roadtripin, he has been on here a few times but it is a pretty rare occasion to see one of the RT hosts on the forum. I'm not even sure if Bill Jordan and David Blanton have a username on the forums.

As for the other comments just ignore them, some people are still upset that Micheal and his wife posted 17 whole times last year on Archery Talk but he only posted here 8. He got 25 posts on 2 sites in 1 year... hmmm maybe he has other things to do seeing as how he's very probably the most sought after hunting personality in the USA.

Not to mention the fact that he was invited to chat over at AT. Has anyone invited him here? Maybe that is why he as a FEW more posts over there.

I do not really see the big deal. confused.gif

The day he set-up his account i PMed him about the chat room and he came in there for a little bit

Re: realtree hosts

David Blanton came on here a few times back probably 4 or 5 years ago. He used his name for his screen name. Have never seen Bill Jordan on here. Sure those old posts from Blanton have been long lost with cleanups.

Little over a year ago, or maybe just a little longer than that, Ralph and Vicky Ciancurillo(sp) were on here.

Funny how our friend Steve, bowtechturkeyhunter found out he has an active myspace account that he frequents quite often but for some reason can't stop in here more often. He has internet time he just chooses to surf elsewhere.

My thing is, he should try to make more of an effort. The chat deal will never work here as the servers for Realtree could never keep up and over at AT you have to be picked to be part of the chat because if you get too many the site would crash.

So get mad at me if you want I just wish the pro staff would stop in more, often opinions, insight, and get the younger hunters more hyped up about hunting if they know they are chatting with a pro staff that they envy on TV.

Sorry that myspace was such a big secret - Bill Jordan, the Lakosky's and let's see just about every other hunting personality has a "secret" myspace page grin.gif It's a great way to advertise yourself and/or your company for free. The post that I made about the hunt inKY with Waddell and the HS guys was from a bulletin from his myspace page, he types a one paragraph message, hit send and it was delivered to almost 10,000 people - both fans and industry people, with no need to respond to comments. As far as "he frequents it often" I sure don't know how much actual time he spends on there, i would guess that you don't either.

WHY?? Every day he is making a huge impact on the hunting industry and the hunting tradition that you and I enjoy... your right he just isn't putting out enough EFFORT. I guess I just don't think that the 3,000 some members we have here on the site deserve more effort than the millions of RT wearers (and the millions of hunters that don't wear RT) in the USA. We are a VERY SMALL portion of the total audience.

Agreed, chat is not a viable choice (on any site)

I'm not mad at you - I'm just tired of anytime micheal is brought up it seems like we have members whining about him not being on the forums. If you take out the three words in your statement and just went with what i bolded - that's what he and all the others are doing day in, day out. But they are doing it on a much larger scale than this forum. So while I wouldn't mind chatting with Micheal and some of the other prostaff here on the forum, I don't think it's nearly as viable as the comments of... He has internet time he just choses not to spend it here... and He just needs to put forth more effort... If that's your and other members view of the situation then IMO you are waaayy of base.

Re: realtree hosts

I have an angle that you may not have thought about....

Deer hunting is basically these guys jobs. My career is one that many do as a hobby. I get payed to do what many spend money to do. The thing is that I don't want to talk to anybody about it when I'm off. It's not a hobby to me, it's a job.

Maybe these guys don't want to talk hunting and the like on their free time. It's not their hobby like it is to us.

Just a thought.

Re: realtree hosts

Well said Gary. wink.gifThese guys are busy beavers and barely have time for themselves, nevermind us. It doesn't bother me that they don't frequent the forums. They do enough for us already by giving us great hunting footage to watch and the greatest camo in the world. grin.gif

We have 3 Realtree Prostaffers in here all the time. Randy Oitker, Tim Andrus, and Steve Beilgard, and as far as I'm concerned they do Realtree proud in all that they do in here.

(and thanks for the plug there swampy...LOL grin.gif)

Re: realtree hosts

i would like to talk to them to but if they have other things to do then that's their business. and don't get me wrong but i think they love hunting just as much as we do. i think it's their job and their passion. because why would they make the videos if they didn't even enjoy hunting? i mean bill jordan makes the realtree camo. why would he make it if he didnt want to hunt? confused.gif

Re: realtree hosts

Bottom line guys we all are busy beavers with our families and our jobs, we still find time to get here. We have members who have battled cancer, who have family members in the hospital but you know what they still get on here.

When Steve discoverd the myspace account that just showed me that he does have time to get on here. No matter what his schedule is he finds time to get on the web and post. No one is that busy that they can't find 5 minutes a week to get on here, drop a thread or two and move on. No one is that busy!!

I guess we make the site what it is but it sure would be nice to see the ones who get their checks signed by Realtree to support the web site and say hi to the forum members that make Realtree the #1 camo in the world.

Like I said, its like beating a dead horse, we can't force him to come on here, we can't force any of them to get on here, but please don't tell me their schedules are any more hectic than the rest of ours. With today's technology accessing the internet is so easy and all it would take is 5 minutes of their time to stop in here and post.

Re: realtree hosts

LOL Lou, I don't know what your life is like but I can pretty much guarantee that Micheals life is more hectic than mine and almost everyone that I know. I wouldn't doubt that the first day he made himself known on the board that his pm box filled up.

LOL the horse is still dead, we can agree to disagree, I still like you wink.gif
