LifeNRA
Re: Swedish Pimple I catch more trout on them. Just a little too big for the panfish. Even the smallest pimples are too big for panfish. Go with any kind of teardrop jigs. Start off with white or any of the floresencent colors. DU_man_84
Re: Swedish Pimple guys use them around here sometimes, i here alot of guys use them for walleye, and some use it for panfish, i really dont care for them, we all kinda make fun of them, im use to using just a ice jig and a good ole waxy and thats our way of catching fish, keep it simple for panfish

Hoyt03
Re: Swedish Pimple Do NOT just go with a tear drop and waxie, SP work awesome for gills and crappie, even real small ones. You will have to get the smallest size one they make I forget the model. I like the silver with either a yellow or red color on it. I never use the hooks they come with. Their treble is too big and I dont like their single hook. I add my own size 16 treble hook and put one wax worm on it. This is an absolute killer for panfish and alot more fun then just dropping a tear drop down the hole. The flash of lure is what attracts them, the wax worm is what finishes them off. I have never caught panfish without the wax worm attached. I can be in the middle of a feeding frenzy and one will pull off the waxie and I wont have any more bites until I put a new one on. [/ QUOTE ] I have caught a ton of trout under the ice without the waxie on! I also add a split ring to the front of the lure too! More action! I alway thought they were too big for panfish. Maybe I am not seeing the smallest lure they make! Cause I never caught any panfish with them. The only size I see are the 1/10 of an oz. Maybe I need to give them another chance and put on a smaller treble! That might be why I was not hitting them!
Shaun_300
Re: Swedish Pimple Yep! Use them all the time for northerns, whitefish and perch here! They work great!

I bet they would work pretty well in Florida for Sea Trout and the like.

muggs
Re: Swedish Pimple Yeah, there an old staple for ice fishing. The Swedish Pimple is one of two lures I'll use for walleye through the ice. Matter of fact, I was catching crappie and eyes on them all weekend. I wouldn't use them for bluegill though. Like was already said, just use a pinman jig tipped with a maggot.
Hoyt03
Re: Swedish Pimple If your not using these for gills man your missing out. I catch many more gills and alot faster using the swedish.
