1997xltlimited
How and what is the best way to ship a pistol. I have to send one back to the factory to get fixed? Its a highpoint 40cal. It has a lifetime warranty if anything breaks, I am sending it back for someone?
LETMGROW
Re: Shipping A Pistol If it were me I wouldn't handle someone elses pistol. It would be illegal in NY anyway. I would suggest the OWNER take it to a licensed dealer and have it shipped out insured. Then have it shipped back to the dealer. A small charge may be charged, but at least you will be doing things legally.
Guest Xen
Re: Shipping A Pistol normally a pistol has to be sent next day air. an FFL dealer can send it priority mail in a flat-rate box... with insurance, delivery confirmation and signature required, you're looking around $20... if you send it fedex or ups, you'll be closer to $40 - if you have a dealer that will ship it for you, it shouldn't be a big deal

johnf
Re: Shipping A Pistol I would call the post office and ask them how to do it legally. If your dad is the owner then the manufacturer can send it directly to him without an FFL here in Arkansas. Check your state laws.
bowana
Re: Shipping A Pistol Make sure you call the manufactuer. Sometimes they will charge you extra if you attempt to ship the handgun any way other than fedex next day or UPS overnight.
