Shipping A Pistol

Re: Shipping A Pistol

If it were me I wouldn't handle someone elses pistol. It would be illegal in NY anyway. I would suggest the OWNER take it to a licensed dealer and have it shipped out insured. Then have it shipped back to the dealer. A small charge may be charged, but at least you will be doing things legally.

Re: Shipping A Pistol

normally a pistol has to be sent next day air. an FFL dealer can send it priority mail in a flat-rate box... with insurance, delivery confirmation and signature required, you're looking around $20... if you send it fedex or ups, you'll be closer to $40 - if you have a dealer that will ship it for you, it shouldn't be a big deal

Make sure you call the manufactuer. Sometimes they will charge you extra if you attempt to ship the handgun any way other than fedex next day or UPS overnight.
