OJR
Re: The good old days Let's see! Good Old Days! No electricity, no indoor plumbing or running water, no insulation in the house, no storm windows, no heaters in cars, wood cook stoves, oil burning heaters, felt shoes, etc.! Had to walk 3/4 of a mile to school when it was -40 and who knows what the wind chill was! GOOD OLD DAYS, my butt! I'll gladly take what we have now and forget about looking back!! Guest Finn
Re: The good old days I like the conveniences of today and the simple, fun times of growing up. Look forward to retiring and getting back up to Wisconsin. Seems life is a little more laid back in the country.

Rhino
Re: The good old days [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Just thinkin back to my high school days. On weekends a bunch of us would gather up out in the woods somewhere. Tail gates down, bonfire blazing, music playing. Just standing around talking and goofing off. Man I miss those days................................... [/ QUOTE ] Sounds similar to a normal weekend at our hunting camp during deer season. The main difference is we're a bunch of old farts now. [/ QUOTE ] Ehhhh? What's that you say sonny? You're old and you fart? So what's the big deal, everyone farts. Just don't fart around the campfire! [/ QUOTE ] Doesn't that go hand in hand with getting old? At least I'm not the only old one chewing the fat around the campfire talking about what body part is starting to fail me now.
