huntn4bucks
Please forgive me if this has already been posted. I just read where Michael Waddell is going out on his own but will continue to do RT Roadtrips for 5 more years. Read the rest of the story here: Waddell to Road Trip for 5 More Years! BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: Michael Waddell out on his own. Interesting ... but not surprising ... guess this gets him off the hook here for not showing up for anything on the forums lol ... oh well best of luck to him. Rhino
Re: Michael Waddell out on his own. This was posted in the deer hunting room not long ago. need2hunt sent Scott Hughes a note asking him about it and this is what Scott sent back to him. [ QUOTE ] Michael has stepped out of the box as an official employee and is now contracted with us for years to come. The reason being is he can now do some things (like the GM deal) and not cause any problems for us and other retailers (or companies). He was just getting so many offers (understandably) and this affords him the freedom to do it. And Realtree and Road Trips is part of that contract. It's really like nothing has changed. He's still in the office and Ashley (his wife) still works for us. Everything is cool. [/ QUOTE ] Check the deer hunting room for the other post. Hope this works out for him, he really does seem like a good guy, and what a hunter!!

BowJoe
Re: Michael Waddell out on his own. I was wondering if he would still be co host of MB as well as the other videos. I think I'd hesitate before buying another MB video this year if 1. he's not in it and 2. if it's as crappy as the ones last year. JMHO. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Michael Waddell out on his own. Personally I would have stuck with Bill Jordan and Realtree, he's been around since 1986 and knows the industry. To me Jordan made camo what it is today and he has made guys like Michael Waddell a household name to hunters. I do wish Michael much success but to me, he will always be Realtree and part of that team and it will be hard to see him doing other projects but as long as he wears Bill's patterns he's still o.k. in my book. Even though I wish he'd post more of here!

He'll be around for a long time, with or without Realtree. Congrats again to Michael.

Just wait till the day when the other camo companys try to sway him their way to wear their pattern. Some say it won't happen, but money talks! I just hope he don't forget the guys who got him his start. Maybe if he gets bigger than Realtree he'll have his own site like this and we can chat with him, yeah right!! unioncountyslayer
Re: Michael Waddell out on his own. Not saying he'll come out with a camo line, just that whatever he ends up doing, it will be big. You can doubt me, that's fine, but I'll save this post for future reference.
