Tony
i moved this to a differant thread. i do not want any responces to effect the congratulations that PSE should get for there great shooters and victory in vegas. i might as well let it out here under control. a big time pro shot in a championship at Vegas. he shot in the BHFS championship. during his scoring round he moved his sight adjustment 5 clicks. you are not allowed to move the sight in BHFS championship after scoring starts. a person saw him do this and he admitted doing it to another pro. the other pro looked at him like are you serious. he responded with yea so what. now most of us cant figure out if he thought he could move it and didnt worry about it or if he just didnt care if anyone saw him do it. this person is very respected in the archery community. the guy that saw him move the sight then told this pro that he saw him. again the pro responded with very little concern. since this person that saw him move the sight adjusment did not file a protest with the WAF/NFAA there is nothing the NFAA/WAF can do about it. some people were hoping this pro would DQ himself for that day and come back the next to shoot. but he didnt. he continued to shoot the rest of the shoot and took second place and 1,000 dollars for 2nd. the pro chairman for the NFAA said he cant do anything, because no formal protest was filed. so in many peoples eyes this Pro had an unfair advantage over his competitors in BHFs championship. i do not want to name the pro. if you wish to find out his name then got to Archery talk. it wont take you long to find it. i really hate to post this here. it is nothing but negativity and nothing good will come from this at all. i will not tolerate any bashing or nasty comments here. we are a family based website with great people here. i do not wish this post become a mud slinging event. opinions are welcome. but do not let this get out of hand. please be tactfull with your responces. Gator
Re: Vegas Sight Moving incident. I saw this topic on AT, and kinda wondered why noone had said anything here, but didn't want to post it yself. To me, the "pro" in question lost alot of respect in doing what he did by not DQ'ing himself or at tyhe very least the shot/shot's in question. You would think that someone shooting on that level would know ALL the rules. It will be interesting in the least to see how this pans out over the course of the year, that's for sure. ultratec1
Re: Vegas Sight Moving incident. Tony I'm glad that you decided to post this because it has a large impact on the archery community. The thing that really upsets me about this whole thing is NOT that he moved his sight. The "pro" in question has shot alot freestyle which is completely allowed and maybe he was just thinking he was shooting freestyle. Accidents do happen and mistakes are made. HOWEVER...........when someone brought the infraction to the "pro" he blew it off and stated "it's no big deal, we do it all the time." He blatatanly admitted to the infraction like it was no big deal and kept on shooting. Now he shot the same class that I shoot and on NUMEROUS occasions I have wanted to change my site in the middle of a shoot but I knew that I couldn't because of the rules. The "pro" did this and did nothing to make it right. I always felt that this "pro" was a great guy for the archery community and an unbelievable shooter. But now I honestly have no respect for him and doubt that I never will. It's to bad that it happened and it has given a black eye to a division (BHFS) that has enough contraversy in it. Tony
Re: Vegas Sight Moving incident. you know how i dont like negativity guys. but after Ultratec1 sent me a pm. i thought it was good idea to post this here. i was just hesistant because how things can get out of hand so fast on the net. we have a really good bunch of guys here, i just didnt want to see us divided. i had gotten a lot of help form this pro on line on many occasions. i actually had a lot of respect for him and he was a favorite shooter of mine. now with this happeneing. i will never look at him the same way again.
