NEMOdeerhunter
Re: More Penalties... Yeah, Toyota must be really proud right now. This could possibly ruin the entire season for the 55 team. I think it was going to be tough for them to make the 500 anyway and now has to start in the back with a backup car. If he doesnt make it he will probably buy another toyota drivers ride. If Im not mistaken, the guaranteed spots in the races are for top 35 in OWNER points and I dont think an owner can buy their way in. If he doesnt make it in the 500, the team will be 158 pts behind 35th after the first race. Not a good way to start the season.
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: More Penalties... The big issue now is he lost 100 points and so did his wife/car owner so he is in a deep hole just to make the other races too. I see his organization folding up before long, this is not the kind of news you want to hear especially if your Toyota. Give them millions to work with and they try to cheat their way into the field. I don't see him making the race and he may indeed buy a ride!!
Chrud
Re: More Penalties... Interesting...every manufacture has been busted for cheating at Daytona this year except for Chevrolet. Best on the 150 line-ups, I think Waltrip could still get in. VABuckSlayer
Re: More Penalties... I don't see the Toyotas making too many races. I don't think they are going to have that great a year at all. Jarrett will burn up his 6 past champions provisionals quick and then will fade away. I think Blaney and maybe Mayfield will have the best chance to do anything this year for Toyota. However I think Mayfield will be lucky to make the 500. I see a Toyota making every race.... Now winning one is another story.... NOT that I wouldn't like to see that happen mind you.... It has 4 wheels and a motor.... Yep that qualifies as a car to me....
