Bowhntr
Oh my, Jeff Gordon failed post race inspection after winning the second 150 at Daytona. Funny thing is no fines, penalties, or points deductions. Hmmmmm http://www.nascar.com/2007/news/headlines/cup/02/15/jgordon.duels.inspection/index.html
IowaDeerHunter
Re: 24 DQed after 150 Oh wow! See I do not get it. I am a Kenseth fan, so I will use him for an example. He passed pre-qual. inspection, ran his qual. run and then failed post, this is the exact same thing that happened to Gordon, and not only Gordon but many others last year, including JJ (I think)! So why shouldn't Gordon get the same penaltiies! Nascar sucks!

NEMOdeerhunter
Re: 24 DQed after 150 Im not a 24 fan but I think I see why he didnt lose any points or fine. They wouldnt have done this intentionally. For one after all of the penalties so far, I dont think anyone will push the envelope this weekend. Also They way I understand it, someone didnt get the mount aligned right which resulted in it to come loose and eventually the shock would have came off which would have definitley ended his day and possibly wrecked him. Fines and penalties for one mistake...why not equal treatment for another mistake? Hmmmmm?

A loose bolt that puts you illegal still makes you illegal. Just like a wheel well cap. Obviously I'm disappointed with the penalty and the fact I won't be there at the Daytona 500 and for the following races," Reiser said. "It was my job to ensure that the cap on the wheel well was properly secured, but it came off during our qualifying run and we ended up outside of the rules because of it. Sounds like Reiser just made a mistake and he is suspended for 4 races. How is that different than a bolt working loose and Letarte not getting anything? It isn't it is just NASCAR taking care of their golden boys.
