Have fun. I can remember when i played baseball in high school, opening weekend was usually the first weekend in April i believe. In Indiana, you never know what kind of weather you will have at that time. One year we played a double header in snow showers and 20 mph winds.

We lost both games opening night. I was just 1 for 5 with a single. Couldnt get anything going. Pitched an inning in relief first game and two in relief second. No hits allowed. We had 9 throwing errors between second, short and third. It was to cold to be throwing.

Last night i was 2 for 2 with my first homer of the year. Went two innings in relief with 5 k's. Won 16-6

If you're talking Majors, yep that would be a disadvantage, the height and the right hand. But for college, you'd be OK. You're doing the right thing baseball wise by going to a JUCO, but I hope you really weigh the full ride. Getting a college education for free would be what I recommend.

Don't get me wrong, following a dream to play professional baseball is great, but having a college education to fall back on, especially without college loans to payoff, is even better.

You can attend the small D-1 for free and then during the summers attend wooden bat leagues or something similar.

Well i've got a 27 ACT score so i can get in free a lot of places and half at others. But i'm just gonna wait out right now and see what comes. Play a double header in a couple hours against a couple good teams. One is #8 in the state. Oh and i'm supposed to be the lucky one on the mound in that one. ha

Had to rub that ACT score in didn't you? ha. Well we won the first of that double header and lost the second. I was 1-3 in the first with a double, and 0-2 in the second with 2 groundouts. Faced a guy that has signed with Ole Miss in the second. He hit 96 at the highest. No hit us. Saturday we lost to another good team. Was 1-3 with a single. Yesterday We lost 18-5 to another good team. I was 2-4 with both of em hrs. My brother who is in the 8th grade, got his first start on the mound. Worked 3 and 1/3 with 2 hits and 4 walks. Left with a 3-1 lead, but things went down hill from there.
