flyrod64
Re: trout fishing in wv It's been a long time since I did any fishing in WV. I used to make a few trips up Williams every year and this time of year I know the ice would be a pain.
Mountaineer
Re: trout fishing in wv DWL what part of WV are you from?? I fished Bulltail (James P. Bailey) lake nonstop at the first of the year when they stocked and caught my limit every time. We went to Camp Creek on Tuesday when they stocked it and couldn't find a hole to fish due to the ice and we didn't have anything to break it up. I've been out on another frozen lake, Jimmy Lewis, some since last week without any luck. They just aren't biting right now for me and my friends. I can't wait til March gets here and I can start throwin spoons again to catch some broods

Mountaineer
Re: trout fishing in wv DWL, we tried forever to break a hole in the big hole before the bridge. All we had was a little hatchet though, and that wouldn't cut it haha. We might head over there again sometime this week, but the thing I hate about Camp Creek is that it gets fished out within a matter of days. Might try the East River some too this week.
