terry264
IMHO, some things should be kept OFF the news, going back in time=bin laden being tracked by satellite using cell phone, one big example. Just now on the news how the missing children center (amber alerts) are using TSA (airport security) to be notified on amber alerts, with pic's., to catch people trying to board flights with abducted children. Now all these "nuts" know not to go to the airport with the child. Where will it end?
buckee
Re: Keeping things OFF the news I know what you mean. I feel the same way when I see the News. Why give away secrets on how they are catching these people. It makes no sense to me other that to inform the public that they are doing something. I have mixed feelings about it, but I think the news goes way overboard on what they should say and need to say, as opposed to actually aiding and abetting these criminals example: I just watched a News documentory on credit card fraud in America. It was nothing short of a step by step manual on how to commit the perfect credit card and identity theft. Right from setting up phony web-sites and pishing information, to going through peoples thrown out mail and stealing credit card application forms. It was a "How to" Manual for anyone who wanted it. Ravin R10 man
Re: Keeping things OFF the news I dont even watch the news anymore..what they think I need to know is a waste of time..half the time the person reporting really knows very little what they are talking about. case in point...a man that was instramental in getting Trefoil to be planted here was driving around looking at the feilds in bloom..he was getting old and his memory was not good and got lost on a back road and became stuck. In the newspaper a reporter told of his unfortunate circumstances of getting lost and stuck, and then eventually found a few days later, she referred to his dilema, as he was out in the forest looking at "Treefoil"...(trefoil) evidentally the reporter did not know she was talking about a legume found in a farm feild...
