Re: Long Cut vs. Side Chew

What is side chew?

and what is long cut?

and why would you care?

and you should do a google search on the following: leukoplakia, squamous cell carcinoma, metastic cervical lymphadenopathy, radical and modified radical neck dissection, pharyngolaryngectomy, permenant tracheostomy, hemiglossectomy, skull base tumors, otolaryngology surgery, and combined chemoradiotherapy for head and neck cancers - then come back and provide us with an answer to your own question...

Re: Long Cut vs. Side Chew

Well, I won't lie, I quit dipping about a year before I left for Iraq. I wasn't in Iraq for a week and I started dipping again. Guess what...I am still dipping grin.gif. I guess I need to revert back to before I left. I am back to being a nasty individual again. The moral of this story, absolutley nothing!

While I question whether or not this post on tobacco usage is appropriate in here due to the fact that kids look at these posts and we do not want Realtree to be thought of as a promoter of tobbacco, I do have to say to ease up on the guy a little bit. He knows it is bad for him but obviously he does not care about his health so why should we right? Well sorta anyway. Let the guy get his question answered and so he can move on with killing his lip.

Now to answer your question. I think both are bad and one is not better than the other. Regardless of which you use, both are lying on the inside of your mouth so do the math. If I remember correctly, when you use "Side chew" as you call it (BTW, we Pennsylvanians call it "Chew" or "Chaw") you use a little more of it than dip or "Long cut". Therefore, probably the chew would damage your face sooner. Hopefully you learned your lesson with asking a question like this in here grin.gif

My whole family has chewed Cope all my life....my brother and I the exceptions.

I know it has risks, but besides bad teeth, none of them have had major diseases....where's some wood to knock frown.gif

You want to see the scar from my neck dissection? The anguish of cancer is not worth it my friend. I've battled cancer 5 times, and none of it was tobacco related.

You have a choice over your cancer, I did not. Choose wisely. wink.gif

Re: Long Cut vs. Side Chew

luventus stultorum magister......

That means youth is the schoolmaster of fools (from Tombstone).

For all those that say "nothing bad's happened yet" well, you are only one doctor's appointment away from being in Tominator's place. No one thinks it will happen to them when they are young.

Tobacco free and happy about that fact.
