27 pounds...11 1/2 inch beard....only 1.4 inch spurs......he was an old fighter.....and died the same way....I did however call in a 30 pound gobbler for a little boy, and got him on video with his 11 inch beard getting shot point blank range....I love that video..lol.......al

Not sure what the weight of my best bird was but he was a double beard with 11 3/4' and 9" beards. If I recall correctly he had 1 1/4" spurs. Not the longest spurs on birds I've killed but that was my best double beard so far. I didn't even bother weighing turkeys until we had the 1st RT turkey contest.

My best overall bird was something like 24 lbs. 10 7/8", 1 1/2". I can't remember the exact numbers.

I've shot a little longer beard, a little longer spurs, but never all on one bird.

I don't let them live long enough around these parts to get much bigger. grin.gif

another newwbie here,biggest was 24lbs,11" beard and 1 1/2" spurs, right behind my house on my farm that's the coolest thing about it.it did take 3 days of outsmarting this ol' tom.only thing used was a turkey wing no other calls ,they don't get that big by being stupid!!!
