I am happy to report that Ted Nugent is supervising Jim Zumbo's successful re-education and that Zumbo may appear with the Tedster onstage at the NRA convention in April. The best teacher teaching the best writer. What a combo. Perhaps Zummy will be resurrected after all. My prayers go out to both.

I saw that and there is some pictures too.

Heck... I'm just curious if anyone here thinks that there's going to be a winner out of this whole mess... confused.gifconfused.gif

I see one bright spot. This should serve as a very loud wake up call to those candidates seeking the Republican nomination in 2008. Here's a quote from a column by conservative commentator John Derbyshire.

[ QUOTE ]

...Second Amendment enthusiasts stand head and shoulders above other conservative groups in their passion and solidarity on behalf of their constitutional rights. You will need to work very hard and tread v-e-r-y carefully if you want the support of this large and well-organized constituency. Set a foot wrong and you could find yourself being zumboed!

Re: Jim Zumbo\'s anti comments!!

I think a ban should be placed on all Anti Hunting articles and posts on RT because look at how this has spread throughout the hunting world and this sight has contributed to it. I'm not blaming this forum but it's kinda ridiculous that we are actually contributing to the spread of the article. It's ok to be outraged or not at all but don't further the Anti's cause by pointing out how somebody else did it. Do you really think this man is against guns and hunting and the outdoors or the outdoors person? Give me a break folks and think for a minute.

Re: Jim Zumbo\'s anti comments!!

WOW.... Just yesterday I say the discusting footage of Houston (no, not Mr. Houston, he doesn't deserve being addressed with that title) and now I'm just seeing this! Although among us there are varying opinions (as there always will be) regarding the variouse assault weapons and what their uses should be it DEFINATELY should not be aired out in public as this was. Now with that said, would someone please point me in the direction of the post/threads where Ole Houston has hopefully been Beaten/Bashed even WORSE than this Jimmy has. Thanks

Zumbo may not be anti gun, but tell that to the anti gun pepople who are using his statements to further their gun ban agenda. Sarah Brady and Committe to stop gun violence has his statements on their website...go look it up. What he said was ignorant and the man is paying dearly for it, but people in the public eye they need to be soo much more careful. The shooting /hunting world don't take anti comments of ANY kind too lightly. An attack on any gun is a attack on all of them.

I forgive Jim Zumbo, but the ball is in his court now. He needs to use his persona and influence to promote the 2nd amendmant and all it stands for.

There is nothing rediculous about discussing current events...especially when the words terrorist, banning and assault weapons are used in the context of hunting , and thats what this site is about...hunting.

Family, Friends and the outdoors.

There should be no topic on this board that cannot be discussed in a civil fashion.

Well maybe not the crossgun issue grin.gif

Whats next? Burning books?

I enjoy listening to different points of view and I have learned much from others here on this board.

Discussion is good and the Associated Press is not taking quotes off the Realtree bulletin Board...YET tongue.gif
