Fiber Optic sights?

Re: Fiber Optic sights?

i have found that alot of times when you have a bright fiber optic sight your eye tends to focus on the sight because its soo bright. i bought one and used it trap shooting and i shot a 15/25. a guy told me about how your eye focuses on it so i took it off. next round i shot a 24/25 and i truly think that the fiber optics was the problem. but who knows. i dont have any experience with them turkey huntin. as a matter of fact i have no turkey huntin experience at all.

Re: Fiber Optic sights?

I used fiber sights for the first time last year and loved them. Quite a few patterning targets and one dead turkey last season testify to their effectiveness for me.

That said, I could see that it might be distracting in a rushed shot situation. As with all things, comes down to personal preference.

im sure they would be good for turkey huntin. they just seem to draw your attention away from moving targets like clays and such.

Very true. While wingshooting the eyes need to be locked on the target, not the sights.

Re: Fiber Optic sights?

I have pack fiber sights from Hi Viz that i picvked up on a closeout for 5$ I opened the pack to try and put them on my Mossberg and it did not work out. You may glue or a sticky strip for the sight holder.

Give me $6.50, $5 for the sights and $1.50 for shipping. and I'll send them to you.

It comes with 8 different fiber pins.
