DU_man_84
Re: bull riding [ QUOTE ] IMHO (in my humble Opinion) you're strapping yourself to 2000lbs of ticked off muscle with a BAD attitude. You're going to want something you know you can count on. There is nothing wrong with looking for used gear but dont cheap out. You will know if the bull tosses you, you'll know if you let go or make a wrong move, what you dont want to have to worry about is shotty gear. If you're at all serious buy a decent rope. You'll be able to use it for quite some time and it WONT be money down the drain. Ask any cowboy that enters a ring, cheap gear is a no no. You'll never see a championship roper tieing off to an Abetta Nylon Saddle. Chances are they will be carrying a name like Cook. The same should go for your gear. Again, JMHO. [/ QUOTE ] agree with jeramie 100%, when you get into a sport like this i definately recommend picking up some decent gear for it, this is the sport you dont want your gear to fail

The_Kat
Re: bull riding Get the best rope you can possibly afford. You want a rope that will grip your hand and hold tight, but will shoot lose if ya get in a bind and need outta the hot seat. I've only rode for a short while, and i have learned that much. Don't go jumping on the big boys til you can handle the little ones too. I'd recommend going to some rodeos and getting in touch with a stock hand. They've always got young bulls that they wanna buck and are usually more than willing to let new guys try their luck. My best advice about not getting hurt is to NEVER get on one. I haven't been beat up worse than having my breath knocked out...but I'm sure if I continue it'll happen. The same goes for you. Best of luck! BullropeBraider69
HOW TO: Bull rope braiding How to Braid Bullropes WoW! I just learned how to braid good bullropes by buying this set of DVD's, this guy gives followup support and materials too. CowboyKelly Bullrope Braiding Instructional Set. [email protected] This is not the 'Clown Croft" DVD I bought it and found out he can't teach braiding, and doubt if he really knows himself. This is the real first sets of DVD's and instruction on video these were made back in the 80's and include Nicky White instructions. Steve Pojanowski, Slippery Beaver Bullropes, Mary Byrd, **** Carr, Foscolina, Doug Joseph, and more. I took my first set of steer ropes to a buckout a few months ago and I now got enough orders to last me through Christmas. check it out search: How to braid bullropes yedda http://yedda.com/questions/braid_Bull_rope_instructions_50412666112
