First Deer was a doe shot it when i was 12 with my 243.win afternoon of opening day we wont talk about the 2 i missed in the morning took awhile to get rid of those jitters.(lol) Shot my first buck At 13 was an 8pt. and first deer with a bow was a doe when i was 14. I gut shot the deer and my best buddy finished it off. Our dads made us gut the deer and I about upchucked where I had gut shot it. We split the meat. I had a doe and a little dinky button buck about 90 yards. i took aim..........and shot the little dinky button buck. The doe trotted of unharmed. But I just was sitting there totally amazed that this buck walked up at 35 yards! But I wasnt going to take a doe, it had to be a buck! It took me 16 years, the year I got married, 1991.
