unioncountyslayer
Re: Who has the best chance for Republicans I would love to see Huckabee in the White House. I mean, how cool would it be to have Pres. named Huck? President Huckabee has a nice ring to it, don't you think? I'm almost certain McCain is going to get the nod, unfortunatly, since he's about the most liberal Republican there is. But he is in support of the war, and he's better than Hillary. [/ QUOTE ]ya i know.lol but i think the gun control part is definatly possible.

wtnhunt
Re: Who has the best chance for Republicans [ QUOTE ] According to a recent poll, Rudy is the frontrunner as far as nominee's for the Republicans. John McCain also stated today that he feels the best candidate for the Republicans would be Tom Ridge. Which is a name I haven't seen brought up on here in regards to nominee's. [/ QUOTE ] Have heard no mention of Ridge showing any interest. Think of the republican options he would get my vote over Rudy or McCain though if he does enter into the running. If Huckabee can get his name out there and get the national recognition to get his numbers up, he might actually have a good chance, he would be my first choice of the names out there so far. With the dirty campaigning that goesa on nowadays, he might be able to have a clean enough appearance to get the turned off voters. I really dont like the idea of Rudy at all, he is almost as flaky as McCain. My opinion is that he would likely be just as bad on gun issues as most of the democratic candidates.
