coles
Re: camo on a shotgun first of all welcome. this situation that you have got yourself into is just a matter of how much money you want to spend. sure the black gun may spook a few birds but not much as long as you keep it down and not be wavin it around. i have a synthetic extrema and it works fine. if you want to spend the extra couple hundred dollars go for it. but you could get the same effect with a black gun and putting camo tape on it. all guns are going to look worn after using them for a while. thats just part of it. everyone is goin to tell you something different. just a matter of personal liking. johnf
Re: camo on a shotgun I've got a benelli Nova in Realtree Advantage Timber and it is spectacular. But the camo does scratch off pretty easily and I almost never take it into the woods because I'm afraid to scratch it up. I really wish I had gotten black. It doesn't look even close to as good as the camo, but at least I wouldn't be worried about scuffing it up. If you don't care what the camo looks like after some real world use go for it. DU_man_84
Re: camo on a shotgun welcome to RT, and that camo would look sweet, but if you really dont want it, you can get a camo clad kit for 20 bucks for it, just a thought
too_pointer
Re: camo on a shotgun Wellcome. You say you really don't need camo. What do you plan on shooting with this gun ? I have a full camo that is still looking great. I do try to keep it decent though, so I'm kinda fussy where I take it too_
Guest daver
Re: camo on a shotgun well it will be my turkey, pheasant, clay and anything else that comes up gun. some of the upland fields and turkey blinds can probably do some scratching...i don't care visually if it gets a nick or two but i don't want it to affect the integrity of the metal under the camo finish
Adjam5
Re: camo on a shotgun I like the camo finish's too but I wonder if they are worth the usual $150-200 to get it done. Like the ones www.tarjac.com do.
