You think its possible? That they are real?

Re: My brother asked me today`

Dont know where exactly he derived this notion from, but my stepfather said it is in the bible somewhere that God says he has children in other places. His interpretation of that was that God has told us that there is life on other planets.

I think there is too much unexplained to not think it possible that life exists elsewhere.

I've never heard of that? What verse in the Bible is it?

I don't know about the alien deal. I do think the so-called alien "sightings" on earth have just been either someone having too much pizza, or maybe in the rare case demons. We just can't know about that until we get to heaven though.

If you completely remove religion from the equation (just for the sake of argument), then I'd have to say that the probability of life on other planets is almost 100%. There are just WAY, WAY too many planets out there and the odds of them all being devoid of life is infinitesimally small.

We can NOT be the only life in this solor system.

I have always said that God made us and I really believe we're a "work in process" and that the final version hasn't been made yet.

So if God can create us, no reason he couldn't create another one, maybe better, maybe not.

[/ QUOTE ]i disagree with part of this because we were made in Gods image so therefore we are perfect. but i deffinatly think thre is life on other planets. why would God have made other planets if he wasnt going to put life on them?

Re: My brother asked me today`

There are some who believe that aliens (extra terrestrials, little green men) are in fact aliens. Think about it, angels, as far as we know, are asexual, no gender whatsoever, and that is how aliens are described. There are some who believe that the flaming chariot who picked up Elijah was in fact a spaceship. Think to yourself, an object comes from the sky, with flashing lights, how else would someone in 500 BC describe it. Also, there is mention of "A wheel within a wheel", some depictions of alien spacecraft "sighted" are round, with lights moving in a circular ring one way, and an inner circle of lights moving in another.

I'm not saying I believe this, just mentioning what some believe. I used to firmly believe in life on other planets, is it possible? Absolutely, but I'm a seeing is believing kind of guy

I do not believe in aliens in the sense of little green men with antennae. If there are aliens I don't believe any human has ever seen one. I do, however, believe in angels and demons, as these are mentioned numerous times in the Bible. It is a mystery, though, why God would create so many planets and billions of stars and who knows what else, that in comparison makes Earth look so tiny and insignificant, if He didn't have a purpose for them.

Maybe to keep us all humble.

I know I've been very humbled when I've been in a small fishing boat out in the ocean. Nothing like something really big to make you feel really small.

Just a thought.
