coles
Re: gun problems could the wind have been a factor? maybe you were pullin them too. did you shoot alot prior to shooting at 220yrds? if so the heat could have been a factor. other than that i dont know waht to tell you. bowana
Re: gun problems Go back to 100 yards and repeat the process. If your shot string is way off or you scatter, then base/rings are your problem (loose). Heavy barrel varmint model or sporter barrel? Guest abster71
Re: gun problems double check your form making sure your face is in the proper place against butt stock that can be a huge factor use sand bags or vise also good luck. Jeramie
Re: gun problems Rings, scope, or even the ammo. If your scope has went south youll be all over the place. If you rings are loose..... well you can figure that out. And then ammo. Guns like to eat different things. I have a .243 that will NOT shoot Corelokt but you can stack factory Winchester at 200yds. 007hunter
Re: gun problems You say it was on two different days. Is it possible the scope got bumped while transporting it?? I would go back to 100 yds and slowly move out...

NEIOWAARCHER
Re: gun problems I had a 270 one time that did sort of the same thing. It wouldn't shoot 200 until I floated the barrel. Then it was fine. Also, what is your twist rate of the barrel and what is the bullet grain. If you have a twist of like 1in 14 you will have to make sure your shooting under 60 grain bullets. If you want to shoot over 60 grain bullets you have to have more of a 1in9 twist.
RJJ
Re: gun problems my buddy had a 25-06 that was doing that. he had to put a scope on it. they sent the other scope back to the factory and they had messed up on the cross hairs. you might try that.
