Chrud
Suggest one to me. The one my dad has is on it's last leg...holes in the covering, supports are getting really wobbly. Here is what we'd like...something probably 8' X 5', plywood hole covers, fully enclosed. I believe the one we have now is a Clam. What do you guys suggest? HuntingInMaine
Re: Ice Fishing Shelters I suggest you build your own! That is the popular choice in my area. I think the last one we built was less than $100 in supplies, and the guys all get together to build it. (sort of a party kinda thing) It has never taken more than an afternoon and evening to finish one, and that includes the time spent standing around just looking at the supplies and deciding what they are going to do with it (plus beer runs to the store)! lol
Chrud
Re: Ice Fishing Shelters We don't keep one on a specific lake though, we travel around a lot. Looking for something that folds up and can pull behind an ATV. Oh, but we'd build a sweet one!
Chrud
Re: Ice Fishing Shelters I found one made by Eastman Outfitters (formeraly Game Tracker). It's basically the same as their Venture hunting blind (similar to a Double Bull BS 5). That looks like it might be a good investment. I know it would be simple to put up. billkay
Re: Ice Fishing Shelters I have a Clam model, Dave Genz maybe? It has 2 adjustable setas and a top that pulls down over you. The whole thing is built ona tub that allows you to store and carry all your gear right in the house.
