Exturkinator Posted February 24, 2007 Report Share Posted February 24, 2007 Wyohunter's redneck joke reminded me of a joke my dad told me about 15 years ago: An ole boy would leave the dock every day and go way back on a huge lake, stay gone for about an hour or two, and come back to dock with a boat load of huge fish. He became a local legend as people were astonished at his fishing skills. The local game warden heard about him and went down to the dock one afternoon to see. The ole boy showed the warden his load for the day, and the warden was simply amazed. "That's a pretty good load of fish you got there boy, you must be quite the fisherman - how are you catchin all them? Doesn't seem quite possible" the warden said with a look of doubt on his face. The ole boy replied "Well warden, why don't you go with me tomorrow and I'll show you". The warden agreed and met the ole boy back at the dock first thing the next morning. They got in the boat and headed out across the lake several miles back into an isolated cove. The ole boy killed the engine and reached into a box. He pulled out a stick of dynamite. "Whoa boy - you can't be doin' that - why that's illegal and I'll have to haul you in". The ole boy lit the dynamite and handed it to the warden. Lit dynamite in hand, the warden again said "You can't do this - this is clearly against the law". Exasperated, the ole boy looks at the warden and says "You gonna just sit there, or are you gonna fish?" Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
