well this past sept 25 i took my stepson on his first deer hunt and as we were sitting that morning we were hearing shot's every where and we were watching a creek bottom and we saw a deer cross needless to say the deer did'nt come our way . so we came out of the wood's and went and got something to drink and eat. then we went back to the wood's and had a long wait and as it was getting late i was looking around and i spotted this deer running across a field coming our way i told my stepson to get ready and as the deer was coming through a thicket i told him to aim for the only opening and as the deer stepped in that opening i grunted and boom . the deer kicked up and ran so we sat there for about 10 min's and i asked him did you make a good shot and he said i think so. so we got up and i told him to put a fresh shell in and we walked to where he shot the deer and looked for blood and as we were looking there was'nt no blood so i told him i had marked the last spot where i saw the deer disappear so we walked over that way and after what seemed 20 min's i look out in this other field and i saw what i thought was a deer and it was some light brown hay so i looked down where i thought the buck would have came out and i was right there was a small spot of blood so i walked a straight line to a trail next to a fence and there was the deer laying and still kicking alittle so i cut it's throat so the deer did'nt suffer needless to say it would'nt have cause he made a perfect shot right behind the shoulder . when i field dress the deer i saw that it's heart was'nt there just in piece's. well i thought it was a doe but looked to see it had button's . it weight about 100lb's field dress. i had a blast and i love seeing the smile on his face. i will never forget the smile. here is the pic.
