Well, as everyone knows the duck and canada season in ok is closed as of the 18th and i was checkin on everyone elses. We did alot of fun hunting and quite alot of guiding as well.

The duck seemed to pick up in the last 30 days or so along with the geese. We killed tons and tons of mallards in fields which is kindof odd for eastern oklahoma because most of our fileds are cattle pastures. We hunted some flooded marshes and sloughs with the same results. I think as a total we killed around 1300 ducks and 250 geese that is fun and work together. Now we are in the snow season and its time to jump the fields well let you know how that goes.

I was just checkin to see how everyone else did??

Re: 06-07 waterfowl in oklahoma

sounds like you guys had a good season, up here in illinois i ranked it as one of my worst seasons ever, the first week of the season was excellent and than after that it just went completely down hill, all the way to the end, even the goose season went down hill we didnt get the weather for the birds this year until after the season, we normally start seeing all kinds of divers by thanksgiving in our area, we didnt start seeing them until after x-mas, when the season was over, the geese finally arrived bout the last 2 weeks of the season, but we were to busy concentrating on the ice fishing season, cant wait for next year though, honestly it could only be better next season, it cant get any worse than this season, but heard in other areas of the state like down south did pretty good, just not in my area
