Finally Caught Some Bass

This was my 3rd time on Guntersville Lake, AL and caught 5 largemouth today. The 1st two was caught while trying to get some crappie with minnows. I ended up with a maybe 2#'r and a 1.5. Then nothing. Later I tried a new part of this huge lake with a Gizzitt (sp?) tube mimmicking a crawdad and caught my 1st 3 bass on artificial bait. I was born and raised on using nightcrawlers, minnows, and crawdads. I just kept working my jigs like how I know crawdads move and it worked. 1st boat, 1st artificial bait bass, I'm hooked hard now........! grin.gif

Re: Finally Caught Some Bass

thats pretty sweet man. yeah i catch a ton more bass on artificial lures. my biggest bass ever was

5 lbs. 1 OZ. so i havent really caught any big ones. Mad Man and YUM both make a really good soft plastic crawdad. i love usin soft plastics and especially crawdads. i also love spinnerbaits. i dont really like the huge spinner baits cuz i am a huge fan of the Strike Kind Mini-King spinner. its an awesome lure. i like Hart buzzbaits and Terminator Buzzbaits. i have also had a lot of success with a Moss mouse or Poppers. now as far as crankbaits go, i like the Rebel Crawdad Crankbait. it is one of the best lures out there in my opinion. Bomber's Flat A and Fat A are both also really good choices, especially in the hot summer.
