Guest WhiskeyMan44
I really hadnt heard about arrow wraps until this past summer when it seemed like everyone in here was getting them. I'm gonna be switching up my arrows this summer and was thinking about wraps. Here's my question. Are wraps beneficial to shooting/hunting, or are they just a little decor to personalize your arrows? Swamphunter
Re: Wraps Mainly for looks....if you are trying to change your FOC on your arrow, you can move it just a tad by adding a few grains of the wrap. They benefited me that way...

LifeNRA
Re: Wraps Since I added the wrap to my shafts, I can see the arrow in flight better now. Which is the reason I started using them in the first place. Mine stick out like a sore thumb from my stand when they leave my bow!
buckee
Re: Wraps I like em for hunting because They help you see the arrow on contact better and help you find your arrow in the woods or field. They also look real cool and add that personal touch to your arrows.
VTbowman
Re: Wraps As stated above, they dramatically improve being able to see the arrow in flight. I go one step further and use some sort of relflective tape so I can find my arrows after the shot during dark hours. Always seems to be the last few minutes of light when you shoot at a deer and by the time you get to where the animal was shot its pitch black out. Even a small AAA mini mag flashlight will make these reflective wrap glow like the sun. If you do not get pass threw, and it happens, you may even have a nice reflective flag sticking out of your deer. I found a nice doe one year I shot the last few minutes of light in the rain. Would not of found her if it were not for this. I swept a large field with a mag light and bamb! 200+ yards away in long feild grass was my arrow sticking up. A solid white reflective wrap is awesome looking too with neon colored vanes or feathers. JMO
robinhood
Re: Wraps looks, but what it does do is it adds weight to your arrow. slowing it down a little.

cshofner
Re: Wraps I shoot a Whisker Biscuit rest and had a lot of trouble keeping vanes on my arrows. Since I started using the wraps I don't have that problem anymore. I think the fletching glue sticks better to the wrap than the arrow.
